The countdown is officially on for the West Africa Stablecoin Summit (WASS) the most anticipated digital finance event of the year.
Happening on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Adulvie Events Centre in Abuja, the summit will bring together the brightest minds in fintech, blockchain, and regulation to answer one big question: How can stablecoins power a borderless West Africa?
Hosted by the Africa Stablecoin Network (ASN), this inaugural edition carries the theme “Building a Borderless West Africa: Stablecoins for Regional Economic Growth.” It’s the natural next step after the successful Nigerian Stablecoin Summit held in July, but this time, the vision is broader, continental, and focused on long-term collaboration between innovators, regulators, and investors.
The West Africa Stablecoin Summit will feature high-impact conversations on the future of money, regulation, and cross-border payments. Confirmed speakers include representatives from the Central Bank of Nigeria, SEC Ghana, Ripple, Circle, Flutterwave, and Aptos, alongside founders and ecosystem leaders building real-world use cases for stable digital currencies.
Supported by YDPAY, Nexply Compliance, Aptos, and OneRemit, the summit promises more than panels. Expect live demos, startup showcases, and breakout sessions on how stablecoins are already improving remittances, merchant payments, and regional trade. It’s designed to be part policy roundtable, part innovation lab, and part networking experience for the ecosystem’s most forward-thinking minds.
Organisers say this year’s edition will also introduce the West Africa Stablecoin Framework, a regional blueprint outlining best practices for transparency, interoperability, and reserve management. The document, developed by ASN and its partners, aims to provide clarity for regulators while empowering startups building stablecoin-based solutions.
Beyond the stage, WASS is shaping up to be a space where ideas turn into partnerships. Whether you’re a developer, policymaker, founder, or investor, the summit offers a seat at the table where Africa’s stablecoin future is being written.
Tickets are free, but seats are limited.
Don’t wait till it trends be there when it happens.
